The stunning pebble beach of Playa del Albir is fringed by crystalline waters with only small waves rolling onto the shore. We do however recommend the use of jelly shoes to avoid hurting your feet.

A walk to the lighthouse of El Albir
Among the extensive leisure and gastronomic options on offer in Playa del Albir, one activity of great interest stands out: La Ruta del Faro de l’Albir.
The lighthouse, or faro, of El Albir was built in the 19th century and is still used today as a landmark by the boats that frequent this region of the western Mediterranean. Located in the Serra Gelada Natural Park, it currently serves as the park’s tourist information centre.
The Ruta del Faro de l’Albir coincides with the Serra Gelada Natural Park’s red route, one of the two trails on offer within the park, in addition to two different climbing itineraries.
The Ruta del Faro de l’Albir is a simple, easy and accessible excursion, with a total distance there and back of 5 km, suitable for both pushchairs and wheelchairs. This route also boasts magnificent views of the Bay of Altea, Serra de Bèrnia and the Serra Gelada itself. A great option for introducing the youngest members of the family to hiking and a truly memorable day out.
